Coronavirus Update:

We remain open providing orthopedic care and servicing our community. Please rest assured that we are taking every precaution and following the CDC’s guidelines to provide the very best orthopedic care in a safe and caring environment.

In an effort to service our patients as safely as possible, we are recommending patients use our text message service. Please notify our receptionist upon your arrival and wait in your car until you receive a text message that we are ready to see you.

We are encouraging anyone who is ill, has a fever or has traveled abroad in the past 14 days or has had close contact with someone who has traveled, to please refrain from coming into the office. We will be happy to reschedule your appointment to ensure the health and wellbeing of our patients and staff.

Telehealth Virtual Consultations are available for patients who would like to be evaluated for orthopedic and sports medicine injuries. If you would like to schedule a virtual consultation, please call our office at 239-593-3500, and a member of our team will help you set up your consultation.

Telemedicine Appointment Instructions

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are asking you to continue your care with us in the form of Telemedicine. Please find information below regarding your upcoming Telemedicine appointment.

What is Telemedicine?

Telemedicine uses video cameras and monitors to connect you to health care providers. You will be able to talk to a doctor or other healthcare professionals through videoconferencing, allowing you to stay at home. Your provider will ask you questions and work with you to develop a plan of care. Similar to a regular doctor's appointment, your telemedicine appointment is private and confidential. Additionally, just like with any face-to-face appointment, you can have a family member, care provider, or friend accompany you.

How much does a Telemedicine Appointment cost?

Due to the current outbreak situation surrounding COVID-19 most insurances are providing coverage. You will be billed for your telemedicine appointment the same as if you were seeing your health care provider in person. Many insurers cover telemedicine services. To find out if your insurance company will cover these services, please contact them directly.

How to begin your Telemedicine Visit

You can begin your Telemedicine Appointment using:

  • a computer with a webcam, or
  • a smartphone or tablet (mobile device)

We will be using a Video Conference Platform called ZOOM

Once you have been assigned a Telemedicine Appointment please go the ZOOM website and download the app. If you plan to use a mobile device please download the app from either the Google Play Suite or Apple App Store.

After downloading the ZOOM app for a desktop or mobile device, please follow the prompts to select that your camera and microphone are accessible to the ZOOM app.

On the morning of you Telemedicine appointment a staff member will call you to make sure you have installed the ZOOM app. At the time of your Telemedicine appointment you will be again contacted by an office staff member to start the App for your visit.
